(This post has been updated to reflect the system’s new capability to recognize members based on nickname and last name, not just on first name and last name).
Have you ever sent in an email to sign up for one of our events and then lost track of the response? Couldn’t remember whether you signed up by email or by phone? Certain that you signed up for something, but unsure whether that was for a previous month’s event? Or maybe it was for another club altogether? Well, we’ve got good news for you …
We really appreciate receiving advance notice of who is coming, so that we can plan accordingly, and we want to make it as easy for you as possible. In other words, we want to help you to help us.
The Brits ‘n’ US Club is pleased to announce the introduction of on-line RSVPs starting with our August 17th, 2019, Wine & Cheese Tasting event. Beneath all of the event information you’ll see a new RSVP section with these instructions.
To RSVP to this event, please:
- For each person in your party, in turn,
- enter 1 to open the form
- enter Attendee as First Name (or Nickname) and Last Name,
accept your Email address (or enter the attendee’s) for the confirmation,
accept Going for the response (or change to Not Going for a cancellation),
- click on the Confirm RSVP button.
When signing up a current member, be sure to enter the first and last name (or nickname and last name) exactly as recorded in our system so that they will be recognized as a current member at the door and not hit up for a guest fee! When signing yourself up you simply accept the name that defaults in for you, but when RSVPing on behalf of another member you may want to search the Member List for that person’s last name to find out what we have on record for their first name.
For each person you signed up an email confirmation will be sent to the specified email address and when you return to the event page you will see a message, just above the RSVP heading, stating how many RSVPs you have submitted for this Event and a link for you to View your RSVPs. No more memory games or guessing!
If subsequently you should need to cancel a person’s RSVP, simply repeat the above steps but this time set the Response to Not Going. If we see multiple RSVPs for the same person we’ll assume that the most recent (highest ticket number) is the one that counts.
If for some reason you are unable to login and follow these steps, please send an email to Events@BritsnUS.club or call the phone number provided in the event details.
We expect this to be a smooth launch, but if issues are encountered please bear with us as we resolve them. We are interested in hearing your feedback.
